We are Jenny, Katie & Molly, 5th generation ranchers (raising the 6th!) in Clark County, Kansas where our family has been ranching since the 1940s. We are 3 sisters that all came back to the family ranch to work and raise our families.

    Katie's job is the science behind the tender, well marbled cuts of beef that we sell. Her job is focusing on carcass traits like high marbling and large ribeye area to get you the best eating experience possible.

The Giles Ranch was founded in Clark County Kansas in 1947 by Norman & Eula Giles and their son &  wife, Norman Lee & Dolores. With ranching roots tracing back to the Texas cattle trade and ranching in  Pawnee & Ford Counties, the Giles family was happy to make Clark County home. The ranch resides  along the Bluff Creek, where the short & mid grass ranges converge. It is home to a wide range of  wildlife including white tail deer, wild turkey and great fishing holes.

It is our number one goal to keep our cattle in a stress-free environment to maintain optimal health and growth

Raising quality cattle and kids is what they focus on these days. The ranch is home to Roger and Cathy Giles and their daughters and families: Shane & Jenny Betschart, Peyton, Ethan and Gentry; Brett & Katie Shaw,  Addie, Hayden, Assa and Emma; and CJ & Molly Beckford, Giles and Laney.

They have a commercial Angus  herd with both spring and fall calving groups focused on balancing maternal & carcass traits. All of their home raised calves are fed at Shaw Feedyard, south of Ashland. While the majority of their cattle are marked through US Premium Beef, a select few are saved for their retail beef store, The Meating Place,  with locations in Ashland and Dodge City.
